Universiti Sains Malaysia Joins APAC-SCA to Advance Cellular Agriculture Innovation in the Region

The APAC Society for Cellular Agriculture (APAC-SCA) is pleased to welcome Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) as a Strategic Member of the association.

Through the involvement of Dr. Mohamad Hafizi Abu Bakar, Senior Lecturer and Principal Investigator at the Bioprocess Technology Division, School of Industrial Technology, USM joins APAC-SCA’s growing network of industry, academic, and ecosystem stakeholders working to advance cellular agriculture and future food innovation across the Asia-Pacific region.

Dr. Mohamad Hafizi’s expertise in bioprocess technology, industrial biotechnology, cellular agriculture, cultivated meat, and serum-free media development complements APAC-SCA’s efforts to strengthen scientific collaboration and innovation within the region. Through this engagement, APAC-SCA looks forward to exploring opportunities in research collaboration, talent development, sustainable bioprocessing, and emerging food technologies.
