Gourmey Joins the APAC Society for Cellular Agriculture

Founded in Paris, Gourmey is reimagining the future of sustainable dining with its pioneering cultivated poultry products. By joining APAC-SCA, Gourmey strengthens its commitment to advancing the cellular agriculture industry, while helping drive innovation, collaboration, and regulatory progress across the dynamic Asia-Pacific region.
The company was recently independently reviewed by Arthur D. Little, and their analysis confirms that Gourmey’s production model demonstrates a clear path to cost-competitive, scalable cultivated meat. The independent assessment validates a production cost of €7/kg ($3.43/lb) at commercial scale — the lowest figure reported to date in any third-party techno-economic model. This opens the door for genuinely low-carbon, nutritious proteins to become much more accessible.
What makes Gourmey’s technological platform unique:
Their 5,000-liter bioreactor system can reach production of cultivated meat at €7/kg, no “giga-reactors” needed.
They’ve stripped out most of the industry scale-up bottlenecks: no growth factors, scaffolds, microcarriers, or cell differentiation steps.
Gourmey’s whole setup is modular, asset-light, and focused on continuous biomanufacturing, designed for minimal CapEx requirements and maximal CapEx efficiency.
