[May 20th 2026, Singapore] The Asia-Pacific Society for Cellular Agriculture (APAC-SCA) is proud to welcome Mosa Meat as a key member to the growing association, marking a significant milestone for the advancement of cellular agriculture across the Asia-Pacific region and globally.

Widely recognized as one of the pioneers of the cultivated meat industry, Mosa Meat made history in 2013 with the unveiling of the world’s first cultivated beef hamburger,      a breakthrough that helped catalyse the global cellular agriculture movement and demonstrated the transformative potential of cultivated meat technology.

Mosa Meat’s addition to APAC-SCA represents more than the inclusion of a globally respected company; it signals the growing maturity, international collaboration, and momentum of the cellular agriculture ecosystem throughout Asia-Pacific. As one of the most dynamic and strategically important regions for food innovation, regulatory development, and future protein demand, APAC stands to benefit significantly from the experience and leadership that Mosa Meat brings to the association.

Over the past decade, Mosa Meat has achieved a series of landmark accomplishments that have shaped the cultivated meat industry worldwide. These include pioneering scalable cultivated beef production, achieving dramatic reductions in cell culture media costs, developing serum-free cultivation methods published in peer-reviewed research, expanding industrial-scale production infrastructure, and becoming the world’s first cultivated meat company to earn B Corp Certification.

The company has also played an important role in advancing public awareness and credibility for cultivated meat globally, helping move the industry from scientific proof-of-concept toward commercialization and regulatory readiness. Its continued engagement with regulators and markets in Europe and Asia reflects the increasingly interconnected future of food innovation.

“Welcoming Mosa Meat to APAC-SCA strengthens our collective mission to build a resilient, sustainable, and scientifically grounded cellular agriculture ecosystem across Asia-Pacific,” said Peter Yu, Program Director. “Their pioneering work, technical expertise, and global leadership will add tremendous value to our membership community and help accelerate meaningful collaboration across research, industry, policy, and commercialisation.”
