SINGAPORE: Updated guidelines to regulatory framework released by Singapore Food Agency (SFA)

A more comprehensive guideline to regulatory framework regarding alternative proteins, novel foods, and cultivated meat and seafood products has been released by SFA.


Cultivated meat and seafood has become an important alternative food resource to fulfill Singapore’s ambitious 30 by 30 goal - a commitment towards producing 30% of its nutritional needs by 2030. It is with excitement that we follow Singapore Food Agency’s (SFA) recent update to its regulatory framework – providing additional guidelines for companies and facilitating the process by introducing transparent and resourceful procedures.
